we don't have NONFIC tutorial for the next couple of weeks. coz the lecturers wanna give us time to do our 2nd project. hehehe.
so me and my group mates-- mathu, stefan, liyana, mahen and me --- went for location recce. firstly, we went to chinatown to see if we can meet any person in-charge of the Sri Mariamman Temple to ask for location release. it started to drizzle as we made our way from the market place, where we had our lunch first, to the temple.
lolz. by the time we reach the temple, it had started pouring real bad. so we're kinda stuck. we asked the Indian craftsman uncle who we should see and stuff. he have us the fax, email and contact number of the board. seems such a hassle. and we only have so little time left to our shooting days. that didn't daunt us, so we decided to give the details later to mathu, who will be meeting us at the synagogue at waterloo street.
so yeah.., we took pictures and did the location survey checklist. seems pretty difficult to shoot. coz there are some parts of the temple that we had to avoid for religious courtesy. so after we're satisfied with our loc recce at the temple, we decided to leave for the synagogue.
with only one small khaki-green umbrella, stefan helped us take our slippers and shoes from the shoe rack beside the temple. lolz. i was lucky i wore slippers that day. coz their shoes were damp and wet from the rain since the shoe rack is unsheltered. hahahaha. they had to wring their socks dry!!
worst thing is that the road to chinatown train station is not sheltered!!!
the guys had to hop and dash across each stall for some sort of shelter from the rain. hahahaha. whereas me and liyana try our best to keep ourselves sheltered with the small umbrella which belongs to her. lolz
